Phased Development Approach
Structural model verification covers a wide range of checks. SQVE-MV-ET-01 is therefore developed in phases, with each release progressively expanding the scope of automated verification.
Phase 1 – Version 1.0
The initial release focused on critical seismic and dynamic model verification, including mass definition, seismic loading, response spectrum analysis, and dynamic behaviour.
Phase 2 – Current Release – Version 2.0
Version 2.0 significantly expands the verification scope beyond seismic and dynamic checks. It introduces automated checks covering model geometry, connectivity, supports, material and section properties, stiffness modifiers, diaphragms, member assignments, meshing, load assignments, seismic input parameters, storey shear, eccentricity ratio, and drift summary.
From critical seismic checks to expanded structural model verification—Version 2.0 brings a broader and more systematic QA/QC capability for ETABS models.

Once the ETABS model analysis is complete, SQVE-MV-ET-01 automatically performs the identified verification checks and generates detailed and summary reports within seconds to a few minutes, depending on model size and complexity. The reports explain each check, highlight warnings and critical observations, and provide recommendations to support further engineering action.
The tool supports engineers throughout the project lifecycle—from model development and iterative checking to self-review, senior-level review, QA/QC, and independent proof-checking. It provides quick insights without requiring engineers to navigate multiple ETABS tables, manually extract results, or perform repetitive graphical checks.
Operating in read-only mode, the tool does not modify the ETABS model. It promotes a consistent QA/QC methodology, helps ensure important checks are not overlooked, and substantially reduces repetitive manual effort.

The Summary Report provides a quick overview of verification results, highlighting PASS, WARNING, and INFORMATION items requiring attention. The Detailed Report provides the underlying model data, observations, and recommendations for in-depth review and engineering verification.
Together, they provide an efficient overview-to-detail workflow—quick screening through the Summary Report with detailed supporting information available when required.

Important Notes & Limitations
SQVE-MV-ET-01 performs a defined set of automated verification checks within the current Phase 2 scope. Results depend on the model inputs, ETABS settings, and analysis conditions, and may not capture every project-specific condition.
The tool is intended to assist—not replace—engineering judgment. It helps highlight critical modeling aspects and potential areas requiring attention, enabling a more focused and efficient review. All results should be reviewed and validated by a qualified structural engineer.
The verification methodology will be continuously refined and enhanced based on feedback from practicing engineers.
